About CAKE
The Climate Action Knowledge Engine, CAKE, is an initiative by the Global Covenant of Mayors, designed to connect climate practitioners in cities and municipalities with curated, actionable knowledge for sustainability and climate planning. CAKE brings together research, case studies and practical tools from trusted sources, and presents them in formats that are easier to navigate, understand and apply in local climate action work. CAKE is currently under development but presented publicly as a prototype.
CAKE is developed for the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy by Viegand Maagøe A/S.

The use of AI
CAKE uses AI to help users explore curated climate knowledge.
The AI does not replace expert judgement, and it does not create climate guidance from scratch. It helps search, organise and present material from the CAKE knowledge base, including research, case studies and tools.
AI-generated responses should be understood as a starting point for exploration. Users should always review the original sources and apply their own professional judgement before using the information in planning, policy or implementation.
Cookie- & privacy policies
CAKE is a public prototype. It does not require users to create an account or log in.
The prototype uses cookies to support basic functionality, such as remembering recently visited content and keeping a conversation available during a session.
We do not ask users to submit personal or sensitive information when using CAKE. Any information entered into the prompt field should be treated as part of the interaction with the prototype.
A full cookie and privacy policy will be provided as the service develops beyond the prototype stage.
